St. Andrew's School Choir

St Andrew's School Choir is a group of 124 singers, aged between 8-12; they attend St Andrew's Catholic Primary School in Streatham, South London.

Tonight's performers are from four choirs: Middle School Monday Choir, Upper School Monday Choir, Middle School Friday Choir and Upper School Friday Choir. Music plays a very important role in the life of the school. All children receive weekly music lessons from a specialist and all children are given the opportunity to have instrumental lessons.

The children usually first volunteer to be in the choir when they are seven; there is a record number of children in the Choir this year. They rehearse during their lunchtime breaks so this shows great commitment! The children are thrilled to be performing at the Schools Proms.
