The Pylons have been together for a year - so the Schools Prom is kind of an anniversary gig. They talked to Classic FM and played us a tune.
The Pylons describe themselves as a "very collaborative" band. That means that every song they compose (and they do play almost exclusively their own songs) has input from every member of the five-piece.
The boys have been together for a year - during which they played at a number of summer festivals - and are bursting with ideas. They told Classic FM's Tim Lihoreau that a practice session last week for tonight's Schools Prom gig resulted in yet another new song being written.
Asked which film star would play their lead singer, the other band members are torn between Scarlett Johansson and Warwick Davies - "both encapsulate Barney", they say.
