James Blunt to play royal wedding?

It's being reported that James Blunt will perform at the royal wedding in April. He’s told Italian news channel SkyTG24: “I’m playing the church organ there.”

The latest reports contradict Blunt's statement in January, where he categorically ruled out an appearance to CBS news: "It's not going to happen. I do funerals", said the singer.

Nevertheless, the news follows feverish speculation over Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding, exacerbated by Clarence House's excellent job of remaining tight-lipped about proceedings.

Last week, William and Kate visited Westminster Abbey to hear a rehearsal of some of the music that will be performed at their wedding on 29 April. The rehearsal involved full orchestra and choristers from the Abbey’s Choir. Prince Charles is understood to have aided the couple in their choices of music.
