The full line-up for the June ceremony has been announced, and Katherine Jenkins will be performing a song from The Greatest Showman, alongside a tribute to Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Also announced as performers for the Royal Albert Hall show on 13 June are British composer and pianist Alexis Ffrench, pianist Beatrice Rana and soprano Pretty Yende.
The Andrew Lloyd Webber tribute, presented by the composer himself, will include a performance by Meghan Picerno, who played Christine Daaé in Love Never Dies, Lloyd Webber’s sequel to his own blockbuster musical Phantom of the Opera.
They’ll be joining the already-announced line-up of Alfie Boe & Michael Ball (performing music from West Side Story), Andrea Bocelli, Bryn Terfel and Tokio Myers. Bocelli and Terfel will also be performing a duet together.
Katherine Jenkins will perform a song from what has become one of the most successful movie musicals of all time, The Greatest Showman. The soundtrack album for the film spent 11 consecutive weeks at no. 1 on the UK Official Charts, and it’s nominated in the Soundtrack of the Year category at this year’s awards.
She said: "The Classic Brits have always been a special, memorable and loved event for me and so I’m delighted to have been chosen to return and perform at this year’s awards ceremony at the Royal Albert Hall."
"It’s hugely important that we continue to honour and recognise the talent and work of the Classical Music world and I wish all the nominees the best of luck on the night!"
