If you’re stuck for Christmas present ideas, Jane Jones can help this week as she dedicates the Full Works Concerts to the very best classical releases from this autumn!
Jane picks out a range of five-star albums, beginning with a simply stunning recording of Beethoven’s Symphony No.7 from the Orchestre Revolutionnaire et Romantique conducted by John Eliot Gardiner. We’ll then hear Mozart’s delightful Piano Concerto No.9 (‘Jeunehomme’) from Mozart In-Between, a former Classic FM Album of the Week featuring the Israeli pianist David Greilsammer. And tonight’s concert concludes with something of a Classic FM discovery: the beautiful Symphony No.2 by Johann Svendsen.
