Classic FM's month-long Great Composers series continues – and tonight, Jane Jones turns her attention to the man described as the ‘Father of Classical Music’, Johann Sebastian Bach. We’ll begin with a bright and invigorating performance of the Violin Concerto in A minor from Richard Tognetti, before going on to enjoy the Orchestral Suite No.3 with its famous ‘Air on the G string’. But the highlight tonight is all 73 glorious, uninterrupted minutes of the masterly Bach Goldberg Variations, performed by Murray Perahia.
