David Mellor: Sunday 20 January 2013
This Sunday evening, David wants to demonstrate that there’s more to Max Bruch than his much-loved Violin Concerto No.1.
He’ll seek to prove that the composer, who was born 175 years ago this month, has a wealth of compositions worth discovering. David dedicates two hours to Bruch, featuring his Symphony No.1 alongside pieces he wrote for an instrument he disliked – the piano.
Plus – David will also have the first play of a breathtaking performance of his Kol Nidrei by the talented cellist Alisa Weilerstein, who featured on the New Releases Show last night.
