David showcases music from the late, great American opera star, Anna Moffo.

On this week's show David features a selection of his personal favourites from the classical world, including tracks from the American opera singer, actress and TV personality Anna Moffo.

One of the leading lyric-coloratura sopranos of her generation, Moffo possessed a warm and radiant voice of considerable range and agility. Because of her physical appearance she was nicknamed La Bellissima.

David will tell stories from her varied career and play some of her greatest recordings.

She will be remembered as a singer who made it a mission to reach new classical music audiences. "You may not like what I do," she said in a 1972 interview, "but you can't say I'm dull".
