Andrew Collins celebrates the great movies of Alfred Hitchcock, and has a singalong with some favourite musicals.
The great British master of suspense Alfred Hitchcock was born on 13 August 1899, and to mark the anniversary, Andrew tonight selects an hour of music from Hitchcock's greatest films, mostly by his long-standing composer collaborator Bernard Herrmann. Among the classics featured are Vertigo and North By Northwest, and there's a new live concert recording of Herrmann's score for Psycho by the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
In the second hour of tonight's show, Andrew revisits the theme of musicals, featuring singalong favourites from Bugsy Malone, Annie and Guys and Dolls.
