An eight-hour piece reaches No.1 in the Chart (in a one-hour version).

Max Richter's epic work Sleep lasts eight hours and is designed to accompany the listener through a whole night's sleep. The composer's one hour reduction of the piece has shot straight into the Classic FM Chart this week, toppling The Ultimate Classic FM Hall of Fame which was a new No.1 last week.

At No.6 there's a new entry for The Platinum Collection which celebrates the best of Katherine Jenkins, featuring 2CDs of favourites including Time To Say Goodbye, The Flower Duet and Pachelbel’s Canon. 

And there's a high new entry for Vaughan Williams's A Sea Symphony in a gripping performance by the Hallé Orchestra under Mark Elder. It enters the Chart at No.7.
