Ludovico Einaudi zooms straight to the top of the chart with Elements
This week, Ludovico Einaudi has trounced all the competition to arrive at the top of the Classic FM Chart, and No.12 in the pop charts. His first album of new recordings for almost three years sees Einaudi bringing the seemingly disparate elements of the elements, maths and science, and the paintings of Kandinsky together into one concept.
Christmas is coming and the next highest new entry in the chart at No.12 is a seasonal reconstruction of Bach's first Christmas Vespers in Leipzig. The performance by the Dunedin Consort is superb.
