A Night at the Movies is still a blockbuster, with Tchaikovsky's Pathetique the highest new entry.

Classic FM's album A Night at the Movies, featuring all of your favourite film themes stays at the top of our chart for a third week, while last week's highest new entry from Karl Jenkins – his Cantata Memoria in memory of the victims of the 1966 Aberfan disaster – remains at No. 2.

This week, the highest new entry comes in at No. 25. It's the first album in the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra's cycle of Tchaikovsky’s Symphonies under the baton of Semyon Bychkov. This first release showcases Tchaikovsky’s greatest Symphony, the Pathétique. Tchaikovsky himself said that his Sixth Symphony, a confident and dramatic work, was “the best thing I have composed”. On this outstanding recording it's paired with Tchaikovsky’s magical Fantasy Overture, Romeo & Juliet.
