Taking place in the Cotswolds birthplace of the great man himself, the Vaughan Williams Festival 2018 is a must for newcomers and aficionados alike.

Dn the 60th anniversary year of the death of Ralph Vaughan Williams, it’s time to get closer to this remarkable composer.

Artistic Director Philip Dukes has assembled a line-up including Julian Lloyd Webber, The Times’ Richard Morrison, violinist Jack Liebeck and Classic FM’s very own composer in residence Debbie Wiseman OBE (also the festival’s President), in a mixture of concerts and lectures all celebrating the idiosyncratic life of one of Britain’s greatest composers.

Above, Philip Jukes performs a Vaughan Williams viola melody - if that whets your appetite, then you can get tickets and more information here.
