The Maurice Ensemble at the Schools Prom

It's the final day of the Music For Youth Schools Prom, and Classic FM's Tim Lihoreau has been backstage at the Royal Albert Hall chatting to the performers of tonight's concert. Here he meets the members of the Maurice Ensemble.

The Maurice Ensemble brought together from members of the 2010-11 Northamptonshire County Youth Orchestra, a group organised under the umbrella of Northamptonshire County Council's Music and Performing Arts Service.

Tonight at the Schools Prom the group will be performing Ravel's Introduction and Allegro, one of the most challenging and unique works in Ravel's chamber music repertoire. To have seven young players of the musical and technical calibre to even attempt the work, is a rarity in itself!

Classic FM's Tim Lihoreau sat down with the members of the ensemble before their performance.
