The GCS Ukulele Ensemble at the Schools Prom

As the Music For Youth Schools Prom gets under way, Classic FM's Tim Lihoreau has been chatting to some of the performers. In this video he meets the phenomenal GCS Ukulele Ensemble.

The band formed at the Guildford County School, a Specialist Music College perhaps better known for its 150 strong Boys Choir after it was featured on Gareth Malone’s BBC BAFTA winning documentary The Choir: Boys Don’t Sing. However this reputation for singing has fuelled and supported many school ensembles, the GCS Ukulele Ensemble being one of them.

Ahead of their performance at the Music For Youth Schools Prom, Classic FM's Tim Lihoreau caught up with the Ensemble. They told him all about their electic repertoire and treated him to an exclusive acoustic session.
