The Co-operative Junior Wind Band (Crewe)

Youth wind bands are few and far between in Cheshire. The Co-operative Wind Bands (Crewe) consist of three bands – beginner, junior and youth bands.

In all there are 100 players involved in the three bands. The junior band has been in existence since 2005 and has 51 members and rehearses on Saturday mornings for one hour a week during term time. The band takes part in many events throughout the school year one of which includes the Nantwich Food and Drink Festival. This is the first year the group have taken part in the Music for Youth events and they are exceptionally excited to be playing here this evening.
