Royal rehearsal at Westminster Abbey
Prince William and Kate Middleton visited Westminster Abbey in secret last night to hear a rehearsal of some of the music that will be performed at their wedding on 29 April, according to a report by the Daily Express.
The couple listened to a full orchestra and a dozen choristers for about an hour and a quarter, joined by Prince Charles, who is understood to have been involved in their decisions on music. It is thought to have been Prince William and Miss Middleton’s first joint visit to the Abbey.
A senior royal source stated that the couple used the visit to make their final choices for their wedding music. “The orchestra also had a few pieces that they had wanted the bride and groom to hear”, said the source.
Yesterday a series of photographs of Kate Middleton from her family’s album were released to the press, showing her from the age of three until her graduation from St Andrew’s University in 2005, with Prince William.
