Book your tickets now for the Royal Choral Society’s 143rd annual Good Friday performance of Handel’s Messiah at the Royal Albert Hall.

Come to the Royal Choral Society’s 143 annual Good Friday afternoon performance of Handel’s Messiah at the Royal Albert Hall and take part in one of Britain’s great Easter traditions. The choir performed Messiah in its very first season – back in 1873/4 – but it was in 1876, with 1,000 singers under the baton of Joseph Barnby, that the annual Easter performance was established.

It is thought that the Royal Choral Society has sung this magnificent work more times than any other choir – around 280 performances.

The choir, conducted by Richard Cooke, will be accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and joined by a quartet of superb soloists. Hearing this choral masterpiece on such a special day makes a wonderful start to the Easter weekend.

Classic FM listeners get an exclusive 15 per cent discount offer on seats in the side stalls (usual price £42.28 inc. booking free) and rear arena (usual price £33.10 including booking fee) when you book with the Royal Albert Hall.
