The line-up for this year’s video game music event has been unveiled and boasts appearances from the team behind the music for Alien: Isolation, ‘Avengers’ conductor Allan Wilson and an exclusive screening of a new documentary.
This year’s event takes place in London’s Purcell Room on 15th September and the keynote speech will be delivered by Chuck Doud, director of music at Sony Computer Entertainment.
The event, which is in its third year, will also include speeches from a host of big names in the video game music industry, including Nick Arundel, composer of the music for the Batman: Arkham series and Allan Wilson – who has conducted many film and video game scores including Avengers: Age of Ultron.
One of the main events of the day-long summit will be an exclusive screening of Beep: Big in Japan, a documentary about the history of video game music. The film’s director, Karen Collins, will also be speaking at the event.
The team behind the music for Alien: Isolation will be talking about their work and there will be masterclasses throughout the day on subjects including ‘Creating Virtual Orchestras’.
