Culture Minister Ed Vaizey was on hand to chat to Classic FM's Jane Jones as he attended the opening night of the inaugural Bristol Proms at the Bristol Old Vic, where he spoke of the variety of talent on offer during the week.

"What the Bristol Proms are doing are experimenting with lots of different ways in which you can enjoy classical music."

He added: "I think different people want to experience classical music in different ways… What I love is that it feels informal and accessible."
