Tobacco Factory Theatres present: Mimic

Raymond Scannell takes on the role of Julian Neary, a gifted impersonator who manages to find a way out of 1980s Ireland.

Performed at a grand piano, Mimic is a dark satire exploring imitation, authenticity, and what happens to a nation that leaves its heritage behind. It premiered at the Dublin Fringe Festival in 2008, with performer Ray Scannell winning Best Male Performer. It is brought to the Bristol Proms by Bristol’s Tobacco Factory Theatres, as part of a tour including New York and Paris.
