The Sacconi Quartet perform Beethoven 132
Technology and Beethoven string quartets combine to tackle one of The Master's most revered works, with the Sacconi Quartet.
At last year's Bristol Proms, the Sacconi Quartet took a pioneering look at Schubert's String Quintet in C using top-end audio-visual technology, and it proved such a hit that they're doing it again.
This time, though, they're taking on one of Beethoven's greatest string quartets, Opus 132. The challenge is very different, but with the Sacconi Quartet's experience and the promise of some digital wizardry, it's sure to be an invigorating encounter.
Following Jonathan James' talk on the subject of Beethoven's quartets (which immediately precedes this concert), it's a perfect double-header for Beethovenians.
