This Croatian cello duo have shot to fame with their unique take on songs by The White Stripes, Michael Jackson, Avicii and much more
2CELLOS is made up of Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser and they’ve made a name for themselves as one of the most exciting classical-crossover acts.
Luka and Stjepan are both classically trained – Luka studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London and Stjepan was at the Royal Northern College of Music.
Then in 2011 the pair made a video of their own cover of Michael Jackson’s ‘Smooth Criminal’ and their lives changed forever.
Since then they’ve sold out concert venues around the world, worked with superstar pianist Lang Lang and generally redefined what classical music looks like in the 21st century.
Sure, it’s one of the biggest dates in the sporting calendar – but WHAT ABOUT THE MUSIC.
This year Luka and Stjepan entertained an audience of millions when they played the UEFA Champions League anthem and their cover of The White Stripes’ ‘Seven Nation Army’ at the Olimpiyskiy Stadium in Kiev, Ukraine.
