As the exam season approaches for students across the UK, Classic FM’s Revision Hour launches on Sunday nights from 9pm to 10pm, with a star line-up including singer-songwriter Ella Henderson, UK Youth Mental Health Ambassador Dr Alex George, and writer and podcast host Gemma Styles.
Supporting students during this crucial period, this six-part series features a selection of star guest presenters to bust revision myths and share their own experiences. There’ll also be top tips from The Student Room to aid studying – all accompanied by some great classical music.
Each week, the programme will focus on a different theme, including managing exam stress, beating procrastination, last-minute cramming and dealing with exam panic.
Writer and podcast host Gemma Styles presents the third episode tackling last minute-cramming. Is there any point to it? What are some tips and tricks to making every second count? There’s more expert tips from the Student Room, alongside music by notorious last-minute composer Rossini, and some scene-setting music by John Williams.
Sunday 29 May
The fourth episode confronts exam panic. How can you prevent it from happening, and what can you do if the worst happens and your brain freezes at that crucial moment? Join Gemma Styles for some key practical advice on how to tackle these problems, alongside some meditative music by Einaudi and Tchaikovsky.
Sunday 5 June
The fifth episode of Classic FM’s Revision Hour sees the return of the UK's Mental Health Ambassador, Dr Alex George, to Classic FM. He’ll talk about wellbeing during exams, and the importance of keeping a healthy body and mind during the revision season. There’s an American song arranged and played by the talented Kanneh-Mason siblings, and a film favourite by John Williams.
