Presented by Classic FM’s Myleene Klass and John Suchet, the evening promises to be a spectacular celebration to mark 70 years since Victory in Europe Day.
Myleene and John will be joined by a host of special guests including Katherine Jenkins OBE, Rebecca Ferguson and Wynne Evans alongside the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra under conductor Mike Dixon, as they reflect on a day that changed the world – 8 May 1945.
Music will include Edward Elgar’s Nimrod, William Walton’s Spitfire Prelude and Fugue, Eric Coates’ Dambusters March and Gustav Holst’s The Planets.
Myleene Klass said: “It’s a huge privilege to be part of Classic FM’s VE Day at 70 concert at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall. I can’t think of a better way of marking such a momentous occasion than together and with such incredible music.”
John Suchet said: “Myleene and I are immensely proud to host the VE Day at 70 event as we reflect on 70 years since the end of war in Europe. It is fitting to celebrate this world-changing moment in our history with an evening of special guests and the world’s greatest music.”
