Kenwood House concerts are back! English Heritage present Live by the Lake, an exciting season of world-class music across two weekends in August.

The open air concerts have delighted audiences at Kenwood House since 1951 and return this year with an exceptional line-up of acclaimed classical music stars from around the world. The concerts will be an occasion for all the family and a true highlight of the capital’s summer calendar. Bring a picnic and enjoy the best of classical music in the stunning surroundings of Kenwood House

Saturday 24 August: Choral Greats Firework Spectacular
The Royal Choral Society together with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, perform an evening of the greatest choral classics ever written including:

Orff: Carmina Burana, Bizet: Carmen, Mozart: Ave Verum Corpus & Requiem, Puccini: Madame Butterfly, Strauss: Also Sprach, HAandel: Zadok the Priest & Messiah, Faure: Requiem, Verdi: Nabucco & Il Trovatore, Puccini: Turandot & Nessun Dorma

The concert's finale will be an exhilarating fireworks display synchronised to Elgar’s legendary Pomp & Circumstance Number 1.

Saturday 31 August: Opera Alfresco
Ana María Martínez performing with the English National Opera Orchestra and special guests Wynne Evans, Fiona Murphy, David Kempster and Kai Rüütel.

Martínez' dramatic range distinguishes her as one of the world’s most sophisticated lyric sopranos, performing at L’Opera (Paris), the Met (New York), the Royal Opera House and her recent headline-making house debut as Rusalka with the Glyndebourne Festival.
 
The ENO Orchestra, together with an outstanding line-up of soloists will perform some of the greatest arias from the world’s most famous operatic composers: Bizet, Rossini, Handel, Mozart, Puccini, Verdi and Wagner are just some of the composers who will be featured in this stunning concert.
