Violinist Tasmin Little performed Vaughan Williams' gorgeous 'The Lark Ascending' on stage at the Royal Albert Hall, and even found time to talk to us about it at Classic FM Live 2012.

You might not recognise the name of composer Vittorio Monti, but you may well know his folky piece, Czardas. Tasmin Little wowed the audience with her virtuosic performance. Picture: Matt Crossick/PA
Czardas is based on a Hungarian folk tune. It's a technically difficult piece, with fast passages, and playing techniques where the violin sounds much higher than it normally does - two octaves higher, in fact. Picture: Matt Crossick/PA
Changing into a much calmer blue dress, Tasmin performed Vaughan Williams ethereal piece as the audience looked on in awe. Picture: Richard Johnson
Accompanied by the RSNO, Tasmin transported the audience to a world of pastoral bliss. Picture: Richard Johnson
The audience stopped in their tracks and left a moment moment of silence at the end of the performance, as Tasmin held everyone under her spell. Picture: Richard Johnson
Tasmin also found the time to chat to Tim about what it's like playing Vaughan Williams' magical piece in front of an audience. After one performance, the audience were silent for 30 seconds. Picture: Richard Johnson
