In celebration of LSO week on Classic FM, we chatted with Principal Flautist Gareth Davies.

Not content with merely playing the flute in one of the world's best orchestras, Gareth Davies is also a professor at the Royal College of Music, and he's just penned his first book. Titled The Show Must Go On, it tells the stories of touring with the London Symphony Orchestra, from their historic first visit to America in 1912 when the were due to sail on the Titanic to more recent orchestral adventures.

But what's it like sitting centre stage with the LSO? Does he ever get used to working with the world's greatest conductors, including Bernard Haitink, Valery Gergiev and the late Sir Colin Davis?

If there's anything you'd like to ask Gareth, post your questions in the comments below.
