He's the Chinese piano virtuoso who also happens to be a breakdancer - Ji Liu is not your average pianist, and Classic FM's Anne-Marie Minhall found out exactly why in this in-depth interview.
With his debut album looking set to take the classical charts by storm, pianist Ji Liu is already making waves with his unique style and verve at the keyboard.
But how did he pick the repertoire for Piano Reflections? Does being a concert pianist make you lonely? And how on earth does breakdancing help your piano technique?
As Ji told Anne-Marie Minhall: "After doing my breakdancing, I can play Hungarian Rhapsodies without any problem! It takes me out of my comfort zone… I can feel the rhythm."
