Classic FM hosted a Paul McCartney take over last week in celebration of his new ballet, Ocean's Kingdom.
Ocean’s Kingdom is a ballet in four movements telling the story of the relationship between a "sea princess" and a "land prince". The production is a collaboration with the New York City Ballet's Master-in-Chief, Peter Martins.
Although Sir Paul has composed classical scores before, including his Classic Brit Award-winning album Ecce Cor Meum, this marks the first time he has written an original orchestral score for dance.
In this revealing interview, Sir Paul told Classic FM's Anne-Marie Minhall about his new ballet - from its inception, right through to the choreography. We also hear about his upcoming projects and touch on the legacy of the Fab Four.
