Tori Amos on her new classical direction

Tori Amos has been speaking to Classic FM about her new classical album, Night of Hunters.

The album, her twelfth studio album and her first release for the Deutsche Grammophon label, sees the influential singer and composer taking a classical direction for the first time.

Night of Hunters is a 21st-century song cycle which takes its inspiration from classical pieces spanning the last 400 years, and from the works of greats like Bach, Schubert and Satie.

In a special two-part interview Classic FM's Anne-Marie Minhall travelled to Ireland to talk to Tori about the new album, its genesis, the album's narrative and how her early classical training informed her compositions.
