Orchestra of Opera North head south

The esteemed international conductor Bramwell Tovey can usually be found jetting around North America from his home in Vancouver, and occasionally heading to Europe to perform with many of the world's great orchestras. His next trip is in March, when he’ll head up the Orchestra of Opera North at the Royal Albert Hall for Classic FM Live.

Tovey will lead the orchestra, making its debut at the event, through some of the classical world's most popular pieces of music - O Fortuna from Carmina Burana, Carmen Suite, Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No.2, Zadok the Priest, Jerusalem and of course the indispensible 1812 Overture to name but a few.

He talks to Classic FM from his home in Vancouver about his international travelling life, working with the Orchestra of Opera North and of course Classic FM Live.
