Leading Classic FM's partner orchestra in Yorkshire, the Orchestra of Opera North tonight will be violinist David Greed. Here he talks to Tim Lihoreau about tonight's concert.
David Greed has been part of the Orchestra of Opera North for over 30 years, over which time he has established himself both as an in demand orchestral performer and recording artist, releasing several acclaimed recordings via Naxos.
As well as his work with the Orchestra of Opera North, David is also the conductor and music director of the Sinfonia of Leeds. Under his direction the orchestra has grown in order considerably and have completed recordings of the piano concertos of Bartok, Lutoslawski, Chopin, Rachmaninov's 3rd concerto and Beethoven's Emperor concerto.
Classic FM's Tim Lihoreau caught up with David backstage at the Royal Albert Hall before the concert.
