Craig Ogden finds guitar

Craig Ogden has found his 2003 Greg Smallman guitar which was left in a taxi recently. The Australian was on his way to a recording session when he forgot the instrument in the car.

Ogden, who spent five weeks at number one on the Classic FM chart with new album The Guitarist, was reunited with his acoustic after the taxi driver had handed the guitar – worth £15,000 – into a Lost & Found office.

Following concerned emails from fans, Craig is relieved to report that the six string is now back in his hands.

"I'm so relieved to finally have my lifeline back”, he told Classic FM. “It literally felt like part of me was missing. Luckily, the driver of the taxi had handed it in to Lost & Found.

“I was so thrilled when they contacted me with the good news! Everyone has been so kind. I'd like to thank everyone who showed concern and offered to help and, of course, to the taxi driver. I owe him a beer!"

Craig, and the guitar, will be on display at Classic FM Live at the Royal Albert Hall on September 30. Read about the evening’s glittering array of stars and awe-inspiring programme of music now.
