Classic BRIT Awards 2018: Album of the Year Category hosted by Classic FM

The following rules ("Rules") together with Global Radio ("Global Radio") general and competition terms and conditions (the "Terms and Conditions") (which can be found at http://www.classicfm.com/about-classic-fm/competition-terms-conditions/) apply to the ‘Classic BRIT Awards 2018: Album of the Year Category hosted by Classic FM' vote ("the Vote") which will run from 00:00 on Wednesday 2nd May 2018 to 23:59 on Friday 8th June 2018 ("the Duration"). The "Radio Station" is Classic FM.

Anyone who enters the Competition (an "Entrant") will be deemed to have understood these Specific Rules along with the Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them. The Terms and Conditions are available on request from the Radio Station.

1. Details of the Vote
1.1 To vote a voter must go online to http://win.classicfm.com/brit-awards-2018/, register their details and vote for their favourite album of the ten nominated in the ‘Album of the Year’ category at the 2018 Classic BRIT Awards. The Vote will be comprised of two phases. Voting for phase 1 will open at 00:00 on Wednesday 2nd May 2018 and close at 23:59 on Thursday 31st May ("Voting Period 1"). Voting for phase 2 will open at 17:00 on Friday 1st June and close at 23:59 on Friday 8th June 2018 ("Voting Period 2").
1.2 At the end of Voting Period 1, the five albums with the least votes by that point will be removed from the shortlist, leaving the five albums with the most votes for Voting Period 2.
1.3 Classic FM is hosting the voting for this category. BRIT Awards Limited (“BAL”), the promoters of the Classic BRIT Awards, and their auditors (Electoral Reform Services) will also have access to voters’ data submitted during the voting process solely for the purpose of verifying the outcome of the vote.

2. Eligibility
2.1 The vote is open to residents of the UK and Northern Ireland.

3. Restrictions
3.1 Voters may register one vote in this award category via the Classic FM website during each of Voting Period 1 and Voting Period 2.  Any additional votes will be discounted. Votes received outside of the specified voting period will not be counted.  Voting times are liable to change and Global Radio together with BAL reserve the right to discount votes if they have reasonable grounds to suspect that fraudulent voting has occurred (including certain bulk voting).
3.2 Votes must not be sent in through agents or on behalf of another person, and voters cannot submit votes as an agent of any other person. BAL and Global Radio reserves the right to discount votes if they have reasonable grounds to suspect they have been made from unofficial third party voting services or otherwise in breach of any applicable terms and conditions.

4. Vote Results
4.1 The winner of the award category will be determined by the total number of valid votes received during Voting Period 2.  The winner of the vote will be announced during The Classic BRIT Awards on 13 June 2018. Global Radio and BAL do not have a say in the outcome of the vote.
4.2 In the event that the outcome of the vote cannot be reasonably determined due to a tie or because of a technical failure or other circumstance beyond BAL’s reasonable control which affects the vote, or any other decision which the vote would have determined, then the decision on the winner would be at the discretion of The Classic BRITs Committee.
