John Rutter reflects on his career as one of the most celebrated and popular composers of the modern era - and he's looking forwards, not backwards.
Classic FM's Jane Jones managed to grab a few minutes with choral composer and conductor John Rutter at the Bristol Proms, just after leaving the stage of the Bristol Old Vic for a career retrospective.
Even though he'll be turning 70 this year, Rutter is adamant that musicians should not dwell on the past, and is absolutely dedicated to his new and forthcoming compositions, as he tells Jane in this revealing interview.
