Paul Mealor on A Tender Light

Next week sees the release of Paul Mealor's new disc of choral works - A Tender Light. Classic FM's Anne-Marie Minhall has been speaking to Paul all about it.

It's been a fantastic year for the Welsh composer, not least due to having had one of his pieces performed at the Royal Wedding earlier this year. A recording of the piece, Ubi Caritas appears on A Tender Light alongside other original choral works performed by the Tenebrae choir and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

On 25th October Paul Mealor held a launch concert for A Tender Light and Classic FM was there. Tonight (10 November) you can hear the concert in its entirety on the Full Works Concert with Jane Jones, with Mealor’s beautiful music performed by Tenebrae.

Following this sublime concert, Classic FM's Anne-Marie Minhall sat down with Paul Mealor to talk all about his incredible year, his composing process and the sounds, emotions and places that influenced A Tender Light.
