The first trailer for The Snowman and The Snowdog has been released, featuring music from the soundtrack which includes stars from the classical music world.

After last week's announcement that the sequel to the classic children's animation The Snowman was to have a soundtrack featuring a host of classical music stars, a trailer has been posted including music from the film.

The Snowman and The Snowdog's soundtrack has been composed by British composer Ilan Eshkeri and ex-Razorlight drummer Andy Burrows. It includes performances from the London Metropolitan Orchestra, All Angels and former Bond member Haylie Ecker.

The trailer shows scenes from the forthcoming film, due to be broadcast at Christmas, and music from the soundtrack. Pop musicians involved include Emmy The Great, Tim Wheeler from Ash, radio presenter Edith Bowman and Dom Howard, drummer with rock band Muse.

The lead track from the score, 'Light The Night', is available for download on iTunes from Monday 10th December.
