The Royal Opera House are set to broadcast a number of world-famous ballet and opera productions to cinemas around the world. We've been talking to Chief Executive Tony Hall all about it.
The season will see the Royal Opera House broadcast to cinemas in over 22 different countries, including a live screening of Gounod’s Faust starring Vittorio Grigolo and Angela Gheorghiu. Opera and ballet lovers the world over will also be able to enjoy world-famous productions such as Tosca, Adriana Lecouvreur and The Sleeping Beauty.
Lucy Coward talked to Royal Opera House Chief Executive Tony Hall about the highlights of the season, the reasons for setting it up and how ROH has met the technological demands of broadcasting to a worldwide audience.
