The Royal Ballet travel to the O2

This month the Royal Ballet are swapping the Royal Opera House for an even larger venue, the O2. They’ll be giving four performances of Romeo and Juliet, led by an all-star cast including Carlos Acosta and Tamara Rojo.

Barry Wordsworth, Music Director of the Royal Ballet, will be conducting the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, in a new partnership for the Royal Ballet. He told Classic FM about Prokofiev’s emotive score and the challenges posed by performing in an arena as colossal as the O2.
