Christopher Warren-Green on a Midwinter's Eve
This week the London Chamber Orchestra released their new CD 'Midwinter's Eve' - a beautiful new collection of Christmas carols specially arranged for the LCO. Conducting the orchestra through this recording is Christopher Warren-Green and Classic FM's Lucy Coward has been speaking to him all about it.
Christopher Warren-Green, who has been the music director of the London Chamber Orchestra since 1988, has enjoyed another eventful year with the orchestra, particularly due to the performance at the Royal Wedding in April which saw the LCO playing a programme made up of great British composers including Vaughan Williams, Britten, and Walton.
Classic FM's Lucy Coward spoke to Christopher Warren-Green about the recording of Midwinter's Eve, his important role in the Royal Wedding and the orchestra's plans for next year.
