Arts & Kids Week Events - 31 October 2012

Arts & Kids Week links families to over 700 arts events around the country, from storytelling, painting, drawing, and design workshops to film making, animation, music and photography master-classes, concerts, backstage theatre tours and much, much more. Many of which are free.

Holiday Art Workshops, Portsmouth

Aspex Gallery, Portsmouth - This half term join the “In the Dark, Dark Woods” Holiday Art Workshop. Artist’s inspiration includes: Peter Liversidge, Robert Briggs and Maurice Sendak’s ’Where the Wild things are’.

On days one and two you will be creating your very own Dark Dark Woods, (complete with lifesized monsters!) and on day three you will use these to make your very own fairytale storybooks to take home!

Scary Halloween family walks, Killhope

Killhope – The North Of England Lead Mining Museum, County Durham - Join in the Halloween Spooky Woodland Walks with Gifted story teller Adam Bushnell. Adam will lead you around the woodland trails while telling his halloween tales.

Times: first walk starts at Noon. Walks will last approximately 45 mins and there will be 3 over the afternoon. C
