This week, David Mellor celebrates the life and work of the acclaimed British conductor Sir Charles Groves who was born on 10 March 1915.

During the 20th century, the maestro stood at the helm of many of this country's most famous orchestras, including the Bournemouth Symphony, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic and Royal Philharmonic.

Drawing on a new box set of the best of the legendary conductor’s recordings, David promises great music and personal reflections on this fine musician.
