Emma-Marie Kabanova is a freelance violinist who lives and works in Moscow.
Earlier this month something so unusual happened during a practice session that she took to social media to share it: “This afternoon I was lost in Beethoven, when suddenly I heard some strange violin sounds that weren’t coming from me!”
Looking out of the window she saw a group of teenagers – one of whom was playing along.
So she did the obvious thing and started a violin duel, 19th century style.
