A Louisiana Philharmonic concert had a frightening moment when a brand new concerto began without the piano soloist in position on stage.

The piece, composed for the occasion by Jake Runstead, featured pianist Jeffrey Biegel as soloist, but after an introduction by the composer, Biegel was nowhere to be seen when the piece began.

Conductor James Paul kicks the piece off before realising that Biegel is absent from the stage. Biegel then makes his entrance to quiet laughter from the audience, before beginning the piece again.

Watch Biegel's entry at the beginning of the piece 'Dreams Of The Fallen' in the video above.
