Book your tickets now for the Royal Choral Society’s 141st annual Good Friday performance of Handel’s Messiah at the Royal Albert Hall on 14 April 2017.
Come to The Royal Choral Society’s 141st annual Good Friday performance of Handel’s Messiah at the Royal Albert Hall and take part in one of Britain's great choral traditions.
The choir performed Messiah in its very first season – 1873/4 – but it was in 1876, with 1,000 singers under the baton of Joseph Barnby, that the Easter tradition was established. It is thought that the Royal Choral Society has sung this magnificent work more times than any other choir; we estimate it at around 280 performances.
The choir, conducted by Richard Cooke, will be accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and joined by a quartet of superb soloists.
Classic FM listeners get an exclusive 15 per cent discount offer on seats in the front stalls (usual price £40.24 inc. booking free) and rear arena (usual price £31.06 including booking fee) when you book with the Royal Albert Hall.
