Join Laura Wright and the Sinfonia Viva orchestra at this open-air event for all the family.

Donington Park and Music Plus Sport are excited to announce that mezzo-soprano Laura Wright, Britain’s Got Talent winners Collabro and the chart-topping Military Wives Choir will be joining already announced Midlands-based Orchestra Sinfonia Viva at Donington Live on Sunday 4th September 2016.

As well as a day of fantastic entertainment, a magnificent finale firework display and family fun, the open-air event will have food for all tastes and budgets available to purchase with a mix of picnics, hot cultural food and street-food stalls.

A very special guest will be revealed mid-June to complete the line-up for what is set to be the highlight in the musical and social calendar for the region.

With over a million album sales under her belt, Laura Wright is one of the biggest selling classical artists this decade. Since her debut album ‘The Last Rose’ went to No.1 in the UK classical chart, Laura has performed at prestigious venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, Buckingham Palace and Wembley Stadium.

Winning Britain’s Got Talent in 2014, Collabro's debut album ‘Stars’ hit the No.1 spot in the UK charts.

Initially built from the success of TV show ‘The Choir: Military Wives’ with Gareth Malone, whereby one of the very first choirs clinched coveted top spot in the hotly contested race for Christmas No.1, the Military Wives Choir has now blossomed to over 75 choirs across the UK. Formed of wives, partners and service women of British Military personnel, each choir creates a valuable network for women in the military community to come together to sing in a fun and supportive environment.

Donington Live, the East Midlands’ newest cultural music event, was conceived when the beloved Darley Park concert was unable to continue at its current location. The site overlooks the historic Breedon On The Hill Church and is the perfect setting for what is planned to be a permanent fixture in the summer calendar for music lovers and those seeking a great day out with family and friends.

Donington Live, Sunday 4th September 2016.

Tickets: £15 for adult, with children under 13 free.

There will also be a coach service for Derby residents, with pick up points near Darley Abbey and Derby Bus Station.
