Bolero is one of the most iconic orchestral pieces ever written, known for its inventive repetition, its driving rhythm and its superb use of dynamics. And one of the best things about it is that every instrument gets a chance to shine…

Well, apart from the violas, of course. Along with the snare drum, they don’t really have an awful lot to do - so violists Federico Bresciani and Emily Sally decided to ham it up a bit during a Vienna Philharmonic rehearsal.
