Choirgirl Isabel on her Xmas chart battle

Isabel the Choirgirl is getting ready for chart madness in the run up to Christmas. Her first single - Michael Jackson's You Are Not Alone - is entering the battle for Christmas Number One against some pretty heavyweight opponents.

Former child star Aled Jones is mentoring the young singer, who is hoping to achieve some of his success.

"He's been so supportive and encouraging.  It's really nice to have him there as moral support."

So what's the most important advice he's given her so far?

"You should just really enjoy it. Don't do anything you're not comfortable with. It's got to be fun really. You can't do anything to ruin the excitement of it."

While all this excitement is going on, Isabel is still having to go to school, choir practice and sing at Evensong at York Minster.

She talks to Classic FM's Bob Jones about her grueling schedule, her plans for a career in music and how a No Smoking sign at Classic FM Live allowed her to get over her nerves.
