paganini caprice on flute

Flautist Katherine Bryan was good enough to turn one of Paganini's most popular works into something very special... for the wrong instrument.

Paganini was known for his legendary skills on the violin. Not the flute. But that hasn't stopped Katherine Bryan from turning one of Paganini's most daring Caprices into a smashing flute piece in its own right.

Just listen to how that most famous of Paganini melodies lends itself to the flute perfectly, and even the complex string-specific performance directions like spiccato (where the bow is bounced across the strings) are effected:

Katherine Bryan takes the violin classic and reinvents it for the flute.
